Received December 08, 2021. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2007. Following the registrant’s last visit with him that year, this plant was received from Roger Anderson in 2010 with the label “Yellow Breeder Plant.” Has since had distribution under garden name. Blooms early-midseason, about the same time or shortly before ‘Red Charm’. Generally SEMI-DOUBLE but also produces many DOUBLE flowers when mature. Light yellow, 1 bloom per stem, 6 inches in size (15 cm). Average of 3 carpels, greenish-yellow, sparsely hairy. Stigmas red, normal anatomy. Pollen-bearing stamens, filaments yellow. Staminodal disc consists of a few projections, greenish-yellow. Highly fertile both ways, presumed tetraploid, good breeding potential. Light fragrance. Strong upright growth to 33 inches (85 cm). Mechanical support not required. Glossy green foliage stays healthy until late autumn. Vigorous growth and rapid increase produces a high stem count in comparison to most other herbaceous hybrids. This, along with well-shaped round buds, offers good cut flower potential. The cultivar name is based on the Spanish word for yellow, reflecting the clear yellow color of the flower.
