Seedling 183/80. Parentage: P. lactiflora ‘Mademoiselle Jeanne Riviere’ x open pollination. Seeds sown in 1972, from which ‘Zhemchuzhna Rossyp’ was selected as a seedling in 1980. Entered into the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 1995 (Certificate #77). JAPANESE to ANEMONE flower form with two rows of mother-of-pearl pink guard petals (RHS 73-B), 3-4 flowers per stem. The staminodes are large, light yellow, with bright pink tips and gold edge. Flower with a diameter of 13-15 cm (5-6 inches). Carpels cream, stigmas bright pink, seed fertile. Rose fragrance, strong and pleasant. Erect self-supporting growth, compact, leaves small. Plant height 75-85 cm (30-34 inches). Blooms midseason. This cultivar won the award the 2nd prize in its class at the international exhibition “Floriade-92” (Zoetermeer, the Netherlands). The name of the cultivar “Zhemchuzhna Rossyp” means pearls scattering.
