Color can be described as magenta pink or lighter purplish red, either description indicating an underlying influence of the pigment anthocyanin. One bloom per stem, size 3½ inches (9 cm), no fragrance. Ten-petalled single, the petals smoothly rounded and cupped, but also reflexed giving a wide-rimmed bowl shape to the flower. Three or four carpels, pale green, with pink stigmas having normal anatomy. Pollen-bearing stamens, filaments pink at the base and yellow at the tips. Fertile. Well-developed staminodal disc, white. Foliage green, broad pointed. Upright growth habit, height 26-28 inches (66-71 cm), support not needed.
