Seedling W-131. Parentage: ‘Maria Fairfax’ x ‘Mackinac Grand’ SEMI-DOUBLE TO FULL DOUBLE flower form. Early flowering. Large crimson flowers (at least 6 inches; 20 cm), 1 per stem. Rounded crimson guard petals, measuring at least 2½ inches (7 cm) in width, have white flares with broken edges. An average of 4 sparsely haired carpels with cerise stigmas. Fairly upright stems in excess of 31 inches (80 cm) benefit from support when in flower; veined, fairly broad leaflets. Insignificant fragrance. Color-intense variety with exquisite rose-shaped buds all set for early-season display.
