Seedling A-51. Parentage: ‘Quitzin’ x Anderson seedling Y-158. DOUBLE, with a flower-in-flower structure, though it also has features of an Anemone flower form. One flower per stem (14 cm; 5½ inches). Somewhat notched, round-edged pink guard petals with blurred, whitish green flares encircle paler pink, broadly spatulate, yellow-flared, slightly frayed petalodes, which in turn, as innermost components of the flower-in-flower formation, encircle smaller yellow petalodes edged gold. Fragrant. Fairly narrow, uniformly smooth leaflets nearly all the way down. Blooms early midseason. Named after a Russian river.
