Chinese Dragon (Saunder, 1948). Lutea hybrid.
Single; 10-14 petals, purple-crimson. Flares large and dark. Filaments coarse, maroon. Stigmas almost crimson; sheath purple. Foliage luxuriant, finely cut, with bronze tips. Stems purplish-crimson. This variety should perhaps be classed in Group 5.
