Dycker Flamingo (Schmidt/Tetzlaff). Herbaceous Hyrid. A beautiful seedling (formerly known as “Schmidt Seedling”) that we discovered many years ago in Lisa Schmidt’s garden. With its striking pink, semi-double flowers, this plant has earned its place in our peony range. Height: 90-100 cm, flower diameter: 15 cm. This variety had the seedling name ‘Flamingo’ in our garden, under which we also sold the plant for many years. To avoid confusion with the American variety of the same name from Andrews (USA, 1925), we decided to change the variety name to ‘Dycker Flamingo’. Our nursery is located near the famous park of Schloss Dyck, in the middle of the “Dycker Ländchen,” giving this great variety a local connection.
