• I just received some images of Matias Krieger’s seedlings and they were added to the page about him and his work. Have a look to see some nice ones for the future… Here’s already one of which I’m just a little bit jealous 😉

  • I am posting an image of Andreas Maschke (B3) flowering in my garden. Very nice plant, herbaceous in appearance, very similar to its pollen parent. The flowers have pollen and carpels.
I have used its pollen on so called fertile itohs to increase the tree peony characters and obtain fertile backcrosses. I tried it also on herbaceous hybrids like…Read More

    • @roberto Have you obtained any seedlings from the cross Itohs x B3?

      • I have tried B3 pollen on several itohs such as Watermelon Wine, Belle Tolousaine, Sonoma Rosy Future, Gordon Simonsen but no seeds yet. • A beautiful plant which I received from @roberto (Roberto Gamoletti) three years ago. An unnamed selection from the cross Fairfield x Little Dorrit. It has P. peregrina-like foliage and I very much like the color of the flower. Easy growing also.

P. emodi has lots of stems, but experience from years past tells us that some cold harsh weather along the way to blooming will heavily damage them again. But before that happens they always look very promising. The second image shows P. triternata, or P. daurica ssp daurica as it is…Read More

We have been commercial members of the APS for two years, where we have gained knowledge about hybridisation and peony care. However, your website contains much more useful and relevant…Read More
