P. obovata hybrid. With tomentose carpels this must be a garden hybrid. Much easier growing compared to the true species.

Not completely sure what this is. Received it as ‘unknown’, but from wild collected seeds in former Yugoslavia. P. velebitensis, P. mascula, P. daurica? This is a first year plant so it may well change the following years, perhaps then I’ll be able to tell what it is, but I find it already rather attractive.

A nice unregistered plant in bloom here. Still in the midst of ‘species season’, thus really early. This plant is the result of P. lactiflora President Lincoln x P. wittmanniana , a cross made by Roberto Gamoletti @roberto .
