Paeonia rockii ssp linyanshanii Shennongjia showing nice “true rockii” foliage. A superior subspecies from Hubei China
Dick posted in the group Species Peonies International Network (SPIN)
Foliage on several (true) Paeonia emodi.
Most are grown from seedsEarly hybrids are blooming (Vanilla Schnapps, Ballerina, Pink Vanguard, Grand Massive…). Still too early for Red Charm. Pictures show a field of previously selected and propagated seedlings that eventually weren’t good enough. Six years old, so fully mature. Still a pretty sight I think.
Peony Forever Yours. A young plant grown in a hoop house. It tolerated the heat very well.
