Peonies are my favorite flowers. I grow them professionally as cut flowers and also propagate some to sell B2B. Next to that I am an amateur hybridizer with interest in both advanced hybrids and species. I grow several species myself and try to obtain most herbaceous ones. Next to that I'm also the developer of this site.

My name is Petr Anokhin. I am a floral designer and peony breeder from Kyrgyzstan. I am engaged in the breeding of Paeonia lactiflora, as well as in the development of intervarietal and hybrid forms, with a strong focus on ornamental qualities, plant vigor, and flower expressiveness. A particular focus of my work is the breeding of hybrids involving historic cultivars, specifically hybridization based on Paeonia officinalis ‘Rubra Plena’, aiming to create new forms with improved flower structure and contemporary ornamental characteristics. In my work, I combine professional experience as a florist with hands-on horticultural practice, which allows me to evaluate cultivars both for garden performance and their potential for cut flower use. My work is dedicated to the development of modern peony breeding and to promoting plants from Central Asia on the international stage.
