<title>I am posting an image of Andreas Maschke (B3) flowering in my garden. Very nice plant, herbaceous in appearance, very similar to its pollen parent. The flowers have pollen and carpels.
I have used its pollen on so called fertile itohs to increase the tree peony characters and obtain fertile backcrosses. I tried it also on herbaceous hybrids like Blushing Princess and Old Faithful and got a few seeds last year. I have pollinated B3 with other similar peonies like B2 and B1 but results are still to come. I have a couple of seedlings from Andreas Maschke open pollinated still very small.
This plant and its siblings are very promising for breeding</title>

<title>Ballerina. Our favorite A.P. Saunders introduction. From the cross P. wittmanniana x P. lactiflora &#039;Lady Alexandra Duff&#039;. Saunders didn&#039;t have too many doubles, definitely not in the first generation of his crosses. This is one of the very few exceptions and it really is an excellent one. Pale yellow flowering early in the season. Large flowers and growing very well here in Western Europe.</title>

<title>A seedling plant this one. Garden name &#039;Kato001&#039;, which is the best selection of some 400 to maturity grown seedlings of Pink Vanguard X Lavender Baby, and which thus has Paeonia coriacea genes. Very good garden plant, very early, but alas no cut flower because, although it remains firmly upright, the last part of the stem just below the flower doesn&#039;t seem to be very stiff at blooming time. A bit like Ballerina. I But for the garden truly excellent in my opinion.</title>
